Happy Weekend! What will you sip? I love saying farewell to the hustle and bustle of a busy week with a bottle of sparkling wine. Bye-bye stress, hello bubbly!
Bold Lips & Bold Women
I recently attended the Bold Lips & Bold Women celebration of Women’s History Month, hosted by Champagne Veuve Clicquot. It was such a treat to sip Champagne Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame by The Pool at The Grill in the iconic Seagram Building in Manhattan. I loved my mini makeover from Dior makeup artist Eduardo. Thank you to photographer Lauren Cowart for the fun photoshoot.
Charleston Wine + Food Festival
I recently returned from leading two sold-out seminars at the Charleston Wine + Food Festival. Participating in this excellent festival for the fourth consecutive year was such an honor. Winemaker Derek Rohlffs, founder of Bravium in the Anderson Valley, California, and Jason Nolley, owner of Jessamine + Vine wine store in Charleston, joined me as panelists for Around the World with Pinot Noir. Visit Instagram to see the full list of wines.
Jason Ferris (Dr. Konstantin Frank winery, Finger Lakes), Bethany Heinze (Vern’s restaurant, Charleston) and Ebony Hurwitz (Gallo) shared their sparkling insights during the United States of Sparkling beverage seminar. Visit Instagram to see the full list of wines.

The Chef’s Lab at Refettorio Harlem
March 31
Don’t miss the Chef’s Lab dinner at Refettorio Harlem on March 31! This month’s theme is Sisterhood in the Kitchen and Beyond and features a multi-course menu prepared by an all-star roster of women chefs. I had the honor of selecting the wines. The Harlem Chef’s Lab is a monthly series of collaborative dinners and seasonal soireés blending music, art, and food at Free Food’s Refettorio Harlem, a newly renovated space inside the Emanuel AME Church built and founded by Lara Gilmore and Massimo Bottura’s “Food For Soul.” Proceeds from the event go towards Free Food’s mission of reducing food waste and feeding the food insecure in Harlem with dignity and love.
